Description of my concepts:

My two concepts were very much inspired by the lightness and vibrancy of David Adjaye's architecture . It is evident that his ideas which deals with light and airy spaces is reflected in my design.  The outer mold of my design consists of a streamline shape which alludes to notions of openness and a sense of movement .The high ceilings and the glass lined roof further highlights Adjaye's ideas of an airy space . 

Whilst the light rail is a space of public exposure , the inside of my light rail station is lines with wood, which associates itself with private spaces . The wood further alludes to notion of gathering and this idea aligns itself with Gonzalez De leon's idea of architecture as a patio , where "everybody meets here". Thus by implementing wood into the design , the material once associated with private space and gathering is transformed into one of openness and movement .Thus the public light rail becomes a place of gathering and meeting , forming a link between the public and private.
